About the artist

My name is Edmar Cisneros , a 20 yr old self taught designer from Mexico City ….Currently freelancing some Graphic Design and looking forward to studying a design related career..
I’m always searching for new tecniques and art tendencies and trying to expand my knowledge and abilities as much as I can in my everyday work….
I’m trying to get involved in the online-art scene as much as possible , I’ve met several great artists and I’ve learned a lot of thing from every one of them.. I also want to open my professional portfolio later this year and get more clients so I can get this thing going!
Movies , books and especially music are my inspiration……And I hope someday I can be good enough so I can make a living out of it….

Discovering a talent

After High school I really didn’t know what to do so I took some time off to figure out the next step…. I used to draw , paint and write a lot during highschool but then I got in some sort of artistic breakdown and I dind’t do anything until I discovered digital art around december 2007…
I started touching up photographs with an old copy of paint shop pro , until I got Photoshop CS and started doing some really crappy manipulations…..
By that time , I came across deviantart , a nice community where I got some comments and feedback of my work , until it came to be the web site I visited the most….It encouraged me to work harder and harder , looking for tutorials on the web , reading lots of design and art related articles , visiting artisitic communities and expanding my vision on digital art…
While researching , I was shocked about the level of art some people were displaying and started following some high profile artists and their work , convincing myself that with enough experimenting and training , someday I could be as good as them. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!! and I’m always trying to learn as much as possible, every work I’ve done has a learning curve and every technique I get from one thing , I try to incorporate and upgrade for the next piece..

I want to start with traditional media again and mixing it with my digital work.. Possibilities are endless!!

Favourite softwares

I always use Photoshop CS4 and I use a little Illustrator sometimes I really don’t know how to use it that well but I just love the massive amount of capabilities it has and I want to learn to use it as well as I use photoshop
I also use a little Cinema 4D and as Illustrator I don’t know my ways around it that well but I want to learn everything about it ’cause it is such a powefull program to use.
