About the artist

I am 24 years old and I live in Trinidad and Tobago. I’ve been a fulltime photographer for the past 2 years, web designer for 5 years and graphic artist since I was 12 (was a hobby at first) My first job at 18 was a graphic artist for a production company and things have just evolved since then. My last bit of education was at age 18 when I completed my A-levels. Since then I have taken no courses or classes. I love music, art, and traveling. I’ve got a 2 year old son named Kaiden.

Discovering a talent

My step into graphic design came quite randomly. My father found a copy of Corel 5 in his office and brought it home one day when I was 12. I installed it and began clicking around and trying it out. I’ve always loved computers, and I’ve always had a passion for surrealism so this was a new way for me to create art that I love and have a great excuse not to get off of the computer. I kept on practicing throughout my school years and my first job straight out of school was as an intern for a production company. I designed all sorts of media and a bit of graphic editing on music videos. After working at that first job I knew this was what I wanted to do, and never stopped practicing.

Favourite softwares

I’m a Photoshop girl, it is all I ever use. I also have a Wacom Intuos 3 that helps considerably with my more surreal pieces. I work on a PC but plan to get a Mac as soon as I can. I shoot with a Canon 5d and kill my 17-40mm lens…..this is my all time favourite lens, great for the genre of photography that I do.

I’ve seen your work mostly through Trinidad’s Scorch magazine and it has never been short of astounding as are all these images posted under ‘The Works’. It’s so impressive that your stuff is receiving such recognition. Keep it up!
