The headlights really are an amazing effect – it brings a touch of reality to a comic book background, a nice touch. Using a movie as inspiration for a poster design is a great idea and very do-able when using photoshop as demonstrated above. Anyone advertising for an event or even a company advertising a new product line could create powerful posters based on a movie, and would capture attention much more easily than when using a standard poster layout. Large blocks of consistent color such as the large moon or red sky in this design are perfect for placing a headline and other information.

Great. But that’s a really gay car. I mean, the Grindhouse cars were a 70 Nova and a 69 Charger respectably. Couldn’t you at least have used one of those, or even a Dart for Christ sakes. And yes I’m fully aware the poster used a 68 Camaro, which doesn’t make much sense.
