My name is Vass József, I’m a young illustartor and at the same time graphic designer student. I’m studing at Partium Christian University Department of Fine Arts (graphics) in Romania at Oradea. In this year I will graduate, and I hope I will work as an illustrator.In general I’m inspired by the happy, joyful things maybe becouse I still love the children tale and cartoons. I’m inspired by hungarian folk tales too. I think the colors are very important in a artwork/illustration. The colors are the sole of the artwork.

Discovering a talent

My works represents my own style, which I developed recently. This is the way, how I can explain my self in this drawings. The main ideas of this works are simplicity and the rich colors, what gives a joyful feeling. In my drawings the colors are the most essential elements. I think the shapes are important too, so I try to make every little surface full of shapes and make them colorful. In my opinion the colors are what gives life and spirit for the drawings, so this style represents me. The feedbacks was positives from my graphic designer friends, so I want to continue this style and perform it.

Favourite softwares

In general I use Adobe Illustrator CS3. The tools I can’t do without are the Pen Tool and Live Paint Bucket Tool.
