The digital art of Perttu Murto
by Sebastiano on 18/12/08 at 3:46 pm
Perttu Murto is a 22 years old Graphic designer/Art director/Illustrator who lives in Finland. He’s now working as a graphic designer for Finnish advertising agency Mainonnan Työmaa.
His works impressed me because give an explosion sensation, colors frequently are in contrast and he’s able to integrate a person with surrealistic environment perfectly.
I had 3 questions for him, and he courteously answered. Here following there is the brief interview I had with Perttu Murto.
How did you start your digital artist career?
Before I started to make digital art/graphic design I was really into photography. I was photographing alot (not professionally, its was more like hoppy). But after a few years I got more and more into photoshop and the possibilities it gaves. Then I started just trying to do cool stuff, I read alot of books and websites about graphic design. In my opinion it is one of those fields you can’t be too good. After 5 years doing this more and less professionally I am still learning alot. At the moment I am studing in Oulu University of Applied Sciences Business and Information Management, majoring in digital media. Beside that I am graphic designer in finnish advert agency called Työmaa.
What does inspire you works?
I think this is the most common question
and I think my answer is the most common answer to this question. I got inspiration everywhere…It depents so much, I get different kind of inspiration in different sources. But most of my inpiration I got from music, other artists, my fellow workers, movies and these days also from client briefings
How would you summarize the meaning of your art?
I don’t know what would I do if I wouldn’t do this. It has come more like lifestyle than job

These are so interesting. I love the culture that is so obviously well thought out and interpreted in all of them. Thanks for sharing them. I would love to see more.
